Probably the biggest surprise of the Geneva Motor Show was the arrival of the Lagonda Concept. Although the revival of the Lagonda Marque had been much speculated upon, particularly with Lagonda celebrating its 100 year car making anniversary this year (an all the marketing opportunities that offers) no one had seen a super-luxo SUV on the horizon. Ford's S-Max MPV has been crowned European Car of the Year, by a panel of journalists. Is it a victory for originality, or yet another duff decision from Europe's motoring journalists? The panel of 58 writers selected those eight contenders for the 41 cars eligible for the award.
Jaguar will reveal the name of its new BMW 3 Series rival LIVE during its lunchtime Geneva Motor Show press conference, CEO Dr. Ralf Speth has confirmed. “We will also show you a first teaser image of the new car,” he added.
